Founder

David Katz is founder of DNK Investments and has more than 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur and investor in the real estate and construction services industries.

David started his career leasing office and retail properties for PREIT/The Rubin Organization. He later became a Project Manager at Toll Brothers, a national luxury home builder. David was an early equity investor and operator at RMA Home Services d/b/a Home Depot At-Home Services, a company selling and installing exterior home improvement projects in partnership with The Home Depot. There, David directed installation operations, led vendor partnerships and oversaw the company’s national expansion and marketing. The company grew into one of the largest national home improvement businesses with over $200 million in annual sales and was acquired by The Home Depot in 2003.

David then purchased CMQ Floor Covering, a full-service flooring installation business serving the multi-family industry. CMQ grew into a leading regional flooring business which was acquired by RediCarpet in 2017.

After CMQ, David founded DNK Investments and has worked as an entrepreneur and investor in numerous real estate and consumer businesses. He served as an investor and board member at Hand in Hand Soap, Inc. until its acquisition by Bain Capital in 2021. David also is co-owner and operating partner of Beacon Property Care, an estate management business in south Florida overseeing $50 million in residential real estate assets
